Key 5
Make it Fun
One of the primary motivations for any activity is simply that of enjoyment. We all tend to do the things that we enjoy doing. Golf is such a difficult game that if a system is not in place that makes it fun, a child will have a very difficult time continuing. Unlike many adults, most kids do not play golf for the pure challenge that the game presents. Kids need to truly have fun playing the game or else they will tend to abandon it because of its difficulty.
Over the years, I have found many tricks to making golf fun. At the end of the day, it comes down to showing a lot of enthusiasm and to encouraging each junior to do his/her best.
If one follows these guidelines while working with juniors, I can guarantee that they will get the most out of this game of a lifetime.
